Angelo Velasquez is a jazz drummer based in Los Angeles. He has performed with Eric Marienthal, Ira Nepus, Danilo Perez, Matt Finders, Brian Scanlon, Willi Murillo, Mike Rocha, Andy Martin Garry Pratt, Gary Fukushima and John Daversa. He has most recently played with his trio for the Jazz at LACMA series for the inauguration of Lalo Schifrin into the LA Jazz Hall of Fame. Last year Angelo performed at the Monterey Next gen jazz festival. He has performed at prestigious jazz clubs such as Vitello’s and Vibratos. He has also opened up for John Clayton and has performed live on Kjazz88.1. Angelo now attends Cal state Northridge as a jazz performance major.
Matthew Valencia is a saxophonist and multi instrumentalist from Los Angeles. Last year Matthew performed at the Monterey Next gen jazz festival. He has performed with Bill Watrous, Willie Murillo, Wayne Bergeron, Eric Marienthal and John Daversa. Matthew now attends Cal state Northridge as a jazz performance major.
Jake Chaffee is a jazz bassist from Long Beach California and plays gigs all around Southern California.
He will be attending The University of North Texas in the fall.
Alex Flavell is a Jazz pianist as well as a composer/arranger. He has played with the likes of Joshua Redman, Taylor Eigsti, Alan Pasqua, Eric Marienthal, Andy Martin, and Willie Murillo. As a performer, Alex has received numerous honors. Most recently, he has been selected as a two-time finalist in the American Jazz Pianist Competition.
Beyond performance, Alex is also a successful composer. As a composer, he has won several awards from Chapman University’s “Composers Today” branch contest, has been commissioned as a studio arranger, and has most recently worked on tracks by the artist/YouTube celebrity Bryan Lanning. Alex is credited on Lanning’s first full release album, “Us,” as an arranger/conductor. The album peaked at #2 in the U.S. Pop category and at #6 overall (ITunes) during early 2017.
